Job Description
Fireteam is looking for a talented DevOps Engineer to join our team. You will be taking responsibility for following:
- OS updates
- Deploying Fireteam software updates to the live environment
- Automating updates
- External tools/service updates
- Adding/removing VMs to/from service clusters
- Monitoring and metrics
- Diagnosing and resolving problems and outages
- Providing second-line support to the front-line operations team
- Archiving and backing up data

Skills and Experience:
Fireteam's DevOps Engineer should meet most of the following requirements:
- Understanding of networking technologies, e.g. TCP, UDP, security and scalability
- Administration experience of Ubuntu or Debian based Linux servers
- Experience with SQL, MongoDB and database design
- Experience of AWS infrastructure and APIs - EC2, ELB, EMR etc
- Experience of Puppet, Salt, Juju, Vagrant, Babushka or other deployment scripting tools
- Experience with Hadoop/HBase infrastructures
- Good Python Skills. Java would be nice, as would SQL
- Good written and communication skills
- Willing to work an out of hours support rota
- Can work well under pressure
- Passionate about video games and web services
